How to get Ichor in Dandy's World: the quick answer
Ichor is the main currency and it comes from playing. By the Dandy's World Wiki's figures you earn 5 Ichor for every Machine you fill, 2 for every Research Capsule you pick up, and 5 for using your Toon's active or toggle ability (once per floor). Two more sources only pay out after you have died: 5 Ichor for each floor completed (6 after floor 15) and 1 for the first time you meet each Twisted (1.25 after floor 15). You can also buy Ichor with Robux in three packs, or redeem the code ICHOR for 50.
Dandy's World has five other currencies you will run into: Tapes (in-run), Research (progress, not spent), and the event currencies Pumpkins (live now), Ornaments and Baskets. This guide goes through each: how to earn it with the wiki's exact numbers, and what it buys. Nothing here comes from in-game testing; the figures come from the wiki as of Alpha 0.29.10 (October 23, 2026). Prices and rates are the wiki's, and the arithmetic below is simple multiplication on those rates, not a record of real runs.
Ichor: every way to earn it
| Source | Ichor | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Fill a Machine | 5 | Any time. If several players work one Machine, each gets 1 Ichor per 20% they contributed, rounded up |
| Pick up a Research Capsule | 2 | Any time. Capsules are client-sided, so taking one does not remove it for teammates |
| Use an active or toggle ability | 5 | Once per floor |
| Complete a floor | 5 (6 after floor 15) | Only after you have died |
| Meet a Twisted for the first time | 1 (1.25 after floor 15) | Only after you have died |
| Robux, small pack | 300 | 75 Robux |
| Robux, medium pack | 1,500 | 375 Robux |
| Robux, large pack | 5,500 | 1,250 Robux |
| Code ICHOR | 50 | Permanent, no expiry |
Floor 15 is the only depth-based change the wiki documents. Everything else is flat.
The number of Machines and Twisteds is capped (20 Machines on a normal floor, 25 on Dyle's Floor, 8 Twisteds or 6 solo), so the ceiling per floor is easy to work out. At the caps, a solo player gets 100 Ichor from 20 Machines, 24 from the 12 capsules that 6 Twisteds spawn, and 5 from the ability: 129 Ichor, before the floor and first-encounter bonuses that need you to be dead. Real floors early in a run have far fewer Machines, so expect less. The Ichor page has a chart of the true solo maximum per floor, and the figures above are the same rates applied to the caps.
The split rule matters for groups. A Machine pays out about 5 Ichor in total however you divide it, since each contributor gets 1 per 20 percent. So a full lobby does not multiply the Machine income, though everyone still collects capsule Ichor and ability Ichor on their own.
Robux packs, per Robux
The small and medium packs both give 4.0 Ichor per Robux. The large pack gives 4.4, so it is 10 percent better value per Robux. Everything else about the packs (what they buy) is the same as earned Ichor.
Codes
ICHOR is the only code the wiki's Ichor page says is active, and it grants 50 Ichor with no expiry. The Codes page also lists two cosmetic codes as active, QoM (a sticker) and AD2026 (a profile print), both with an expiry of TBA. They give no Ichor, so the two pages do not actually contradict each other. Past Ichor codes have all expired: ONETHOUSAND (50 Ichor, ended June 27, 2024), TENMILLION, FIFTYMILLION, HUNDREDMILLION, 2HUNDREDMILLION and 300K (150 each), and SKINTICKET (1,500, the largest Ichor code the wiki lists, ended October 5, 2024). Codes are redeemed at an interactive computer in the lobby, which replaced the Settings menu in 0.22.1. See the codes page for the current list.
What Ichor buys
The wiki lists five uses: Toons, Trinkets, Toon Skins, Stickers, and items from the pre-game shop (Bandage, Health Kit and Valve). Playing Arcade Games, such as the Swimmy Barnaby arcade, also costs Ichor. Skins and prints are sold in Dyle's Store, and holiday skins are mostly bought with that event's currency, with some also asking for Ichor.
The pre-game shop sells the Valve (completes a Machine instantly while you are extracting it) for 200 Ichor. The wiki does not give an Ichor price for the Bandage and Health Kit.
Toon prices
Toons take a lot of Ichor. The 26 regular and Main Toons that have an Ichor price add up to 54,750 Ichor, before the two starters and before event Mains. Many also need an extra condition. The full table, cheapest first:

| Vee | Main | 4,500 | 100% Research on Twisted Vee; Complete all Mastery Quests on Brightney |
| Astro | Main | 5,000 | 100% Research on Twisted Astro; Encounter Twisted Dandy |
Boxten and Poppy are the two starters: you pick one for free when you first start, and the other costs 100 Ichor according to the Toon pages (the Ichor page's trivia says 250, so the wiki disagrees with itself). Astro is the most expensive Toon in Dandy's Store. The wiki also notes that Blot is the costliest to reach in total, because his path runs through Looey's and Yatta's Mastery, and it counts a minimum of 16,450 Ichor for him.
Tapes: the in-run currency
Tapes exist only inside a run and reset when it ends. You spend them in Dandy's Shop in the elevator (it opens after a floor if the next floor number is even) and on the abilities of some Toons.
| Source | Tapes |
|---|---|
| Loose Tapes on the floor | 5 each |
| Pick up an Item | 2 Common, 3 Uncommon, 5 Rare, 8 Very Rare, 10 Ultra Rare |
| Fill a Machine | 1 per 10% done, up to 10 |
| Survive a floor | 10 |
| First non-passive ability use on a floor | 3 |
| Meet a Twisted (once per floor per Twisted) | 5 |
| Coin Purse trinket | 30 at the start of a run |
| Fancy Purse trinket | 100 at the start of a run |
| Spare Change or Penny Pincher card | 45 |
Squirm's ability is the exception: it gives 5 Tapes every time he uses it, not once per floor. In Dandy's Shop in the elevator, a Bandage costs 60 Tapes, a Health Kit 100 and a Valve 150. Teagan's Tea Time ability costs 75 Tapes. Sprout, Ginger and Blot also pay for abilities in Tapes, so a support Toon is worth feeding: the wiki suggests teammates leave spare Items and Tapes for healers.
Research: progress you collect, not spend
Research is a percentage per Twisted. A capsule is worth 1 percent, an encounter 5 percent (once per floor), and Rodger doubles both. It also pays 2 Ichor per capsule. You never spend it. At 1 percent you see the Twisted, at 50 percent you read its description and at 100 percent you claim its trinket. Many Toons and trinkets ask for a research percentage on top of Ichor, which is why research appears in the table above (Flutter needs 100 percent on Twisted Flutter, for example). For how the bars work, see the Twisteds guide.
Pumpkins: the Halloween 2026 currency
Pumpkins are exclusive to the Halloween event, which the wiki lists as running October 2 to November 6, 2026. Anything you have left when the event ends disappears and does not carry over to next year.
| Source | Pumpkins | On x2 weekends |
|---|---|---|
| Pumpkin item on the floor (2 spawn per floor) | 5 each | 10 each |
| Fill a Machine | 5 | 10 |
| Meet a Twisted (per Twisted per floor) | 1 | 2 |
| "Pumpkin Patch!" Trick or Treat door | 10 | 20 |
| 99 Robux | 300 | |
| 475 Robux | 1,450 | |
| 925 Robux | 2,950 | |
| 1,500 Robux | 5,000 |
The wiki's countdown for the x2 weekend boost starts October 23, 2026 at 00:00 EST, but its end date is commented out of the page and the section is marked inactive, so this guide cannot say when it stops. Fridays have counted as weekend days in the past. The daily login calendars give 2,150 Pumpkins in total, along with stickers, prints and exclusive Gourdy and Soulvester skins.
What Pumpkins buy: the four Halloween Toons (Gourdy 3,000 Pumpkins plus 2,500 Ichor and 100 percent research on Twisted Gourdy; Eclipse 1,500 with 5 or more Toons owned; Soulvester 700 with 50 percent research on Twisted Soulvester; Ribecca 300), skins, stickers at 250 each, and prints (800 for Lost & Found, 400 for the Toon patterns). The four Toons alone come to 5,500 Pumpkins. The wiki's own total for everything in Gourdy's Store, 26,100 Pumpkins and 6,100 Ichor, does not add up against the current store: its breakdown counts 2,000 Pumpkins of stickers (8 stickers per its trivia), while the store page lists 18 stickers at 250 each. That number is not a reliable basis for planning.
Per-Robux value on the Pumpkin packs runs from 3.03 per Robux for the first pack to 3.33 for the 1,500 Robux pack.
Ornaments and Baskets: the other event currencies
Ornaments (Christmas) and Baskets (Easter) work the same way: 5 per item on the floor (2 spawn per floor), 5 per Machine, 1 per Twisted met, and Robux packs of 300 for 99 up to 5,000 for 1,500. Neither can be earned now. The 2025 Christmas content was removed in 0.14.12 (January 16, 2026) and the 2026 Easter content in 0.17.17 (April 24, 2026). Their Toons cost 300 for the Common (Rudie, Eggson), 700 for the Uncommon (Ginger, Flyte), 1,500 for the Rare (Coal, Cocoa) and 3,000 plus 2,500 Ichor for the Main (Bobette, Bassie). Each holiday has returned every year so far (Christmas in 2024 and 2025, Easter in 2025 and 2026), so expect both back with the same currency. The wiki's changelog has a December Christmas update as a placeholder with no confirmed date.
Which currency to chase first
If you are new, Ichor goes to your first purchasable Toon and to a couple of cheap store trinkets (Wrench is 325, Research Map 200). Pick up every capsule you can see, since each is worth 2 Ichor and a percent of research at once. During the current event, Pumpkins are worth collecting on solo floors, where all Machines and doors are yours. The floors guide covers how the event floors and Trick or Treat doors work, and best trinkets lists the store trinkets by price. Currency items and prices also live on the items page.
