Beamtail Koi guide
Beamtail Koi is an Uncommon fish found in asol, and its conditions are friendly if you like daytime fishing: Seaweed bait, Day, Clear weather, Spring or Summer. The wiki describes a graceful koi whose tail trails light like a streaming ribbon. It averages 8 kg and can reach 25.2 kg, with a minimum of 4 kg.
The reward is lopsided. An average sale of about C$13 puts it 726th of 742 documented fish by value, which is almost the bottom of the catalogue. Base XP is 95, and its maximum weight is 375th of 663 fish with a recorded maximum, so it is heavier than its sale price suggests.
Radiant Guppy is the other Uncommon fish in the same zone, so asol offers little in the way of competing catches at this rarity. My conclusion: this fish is for XP and for variety, not for income. Fishing it makes sense if you are working through asol anyway and want the clear Spring or Summer day to count for something. Sell it only if you need a few C$, because the price will barely change your balance.
