Ancient Isle guide
Ancient Isle is the prehistoric corner of the map: Cladoselache, Onychodus, Anomalocaris, Dunkleosteus, Mosasaurus and several Megalodon variants all belong to it. It has a bait crate but no crab cage, and its residents include Angler, Merchant, Shipwright, Meteoriticist, Innkeeper, Chiseler and Pirate.
The wiki documents 26 fish here, among the most varied groups: 4 Mythical, 3 each of Unusual, Fragment, Exotic, Legendary and Gemstone, 2 each of Common and Limited, and one each of Uncommon, Secret and Rare. Fragments and Gemstones make this the place to look if you want non-standard drops.
The value ceiling is very high. Livyatan (Exotic) averages C$45,750, followed by Phantom Megalodon (Limited, C$34,925), Ancient Megalodon (Exotic, C$32,142), Megalodon (Exotic, C$28,285) and Shamrock Megalodon (Limited, C$27,934). All five of the top fish average above C$27,000, which is unusual.
Rods sold here are Stone Rod (C$2,000) and Phoenix Rod (C$50,000), plus Krampus's Rod at C$30,000 that is obtainable only from Crafting.
If you want high averages and a big, varied pool, Ancient Isle is one of the strongest documented zones. Bring a rod that can handle heavy fish.
