Blackmouth Catshark guide
Among the Mythical fish of Crowned Ruins, Blackmouth Catshark is one of the heavier ones. It is a night fish that wants Clear weather and either Summer or Autumn, and the wiki lists no bait for it, so the timing is what you control.
An average catch weighs 375 kg, and the range runs from 150 kg up to 1,260 kg. That maximum ranks 160th of the 663 fish with a documented weight. The rate is only C$8.3333 per kg, but the weight lifts the average sale to C$3,125, which is 221st of the 742 documented fish. The base XP is 3,600.
Those numbers say something useful: this is a fish that pays through bulk, not through a high price per kilo. A catch near the top of its weight range will be worth several times the average, so a heavy one is the version you want to sell.
If you are already working Crowned Ruins, check the clock and weather before you head out. A clear summer or autumn night is the window, and outside it you are better off fishing for something else. For the effort, the XP and sale together make it a respectable target.
