Delangle's Eelpout guide

The headline number for Delangle's Eelpout is its price of C$966.667 per kg, very high for a fish this small. The wiki describes it as an abyssal zoarcid fish adapted to ultra-cold crevice microclimates, and it is a Rare entry in Gloomy Crevice, a zone of 20 fish.

Its weight runs from 0.2 kg to 0.6 kg, averaging 0.4 kg, so it is 984th of 1,059 documented fish by maximum weight. Multiplying the average weight by the price gives an average sale of C$387, which ranks 588th of 1,038 by average value; the base XP is 400.

The listed conditions are Phosphor Jelly as bait, Night, Rain and the Winter season. Two other Rare fish are listed in the same zone: Renate's Eelpout and Argosgeorgiae Snailfish.

The gap between a very high per-kg price and a very low weight is the whole story here: the fish is light enough that the rate never turns into a large sale.

Verdict: a decent Rare for XP and a fair sale price, but not a heavy hitter.
