Potion Perch

Potion Perch is a Limited fish from Frightful Village that brewed mysterious potions in its belly, according to its description, and it is flagged Unobtainable. Nobody can catch one at the moment, so this entry is about what it was.

The conditions were daytime, Autumn and Gobstopper bait. Its average value is C$700, with 400 base XP, and no weight data is recorded. That makes it 359th of the 742 documented fish by average value, which is the middle of the table, clearly better than the bottom but nowhere near the top.

Its zone-mates, all Limited, are Candle Carp, Coffin Crab, Ectoplasm Eel, Frankenshrimp, Frightful Crate and Gravestone Stingray. Frightful Village was apparently a seasonal pool with many one-off catches.

So what should you do with this information? If you hold a Potion Perch, C$700 is real money, but the fish cannot be replaced, so it makes sense to keep it if you collect rare event fish and sell it only if you need cash. If you do not have one, move on: the XP and value were mid-range, not the kind of loss that should bother you. Look at fish that are available and put your bait there.
