Pyrogrub guide
Pyrogrub swims in lava, which is why it lives in Roslit Volcano. The game describes a fearsome eel with thick dragon-like scales that keep its body from reacting to outside temperature. It is a Rare fish that takes Coal as bait, appears in any weather, and only in Winter.
An average Pyrogrub is 45 kg (30 to 126 kg), at C$5.6 per kg for an average sale of C$255. By value that is 465th of 742 documented fish, but its max weight ranks 268th of 663, so it is relatively heavy for the price. It gives 120 base XP.
Volcanic Geode is the other Rare fish documented in the same zone, and the rod sold there is the Tryhard Rod. Those two are the Rare catches documented at the volcano.
Verdict: a decent mid-low catch. It does not pay much, but Coal is a bait you can plan for, and a winter trip to the volcano makes sense if you are completing the zone's roster. Otherwise there are better Rare fish elsewhere.
