Salmoose

Salmoose is a Limited-rarity fish from Animal Pools, and it is listed as obtainable. It takes Truffle Worm bait in Winter, in Clear weather, at any time of day. The in-game text calls it a majestic fish with antlers, swimming through icy streams.

It is a strong catch for its tier. It weighs 95 to 630 kg, averaging 197.5 kg, and sells at C$11.67 per kg, which gives an average value of about C$2,304.20. It grants 3,400 base XP. Its average value ranks 248th of the 742 documented fish and its maximum weight is 182nd of 663, putting it in the upper third on both counts.

Two other Limited fish sit in the same zone, Seacow and Zebrafishlet, so Animal Pools has a small cast and you will see a few familiar names while you wait for this one. No rods are listed for the zone, so bring your own.

Advice: if you are fishing Animal Pools in Winter, Truffle Worm is the setup to carry, because this catch combines a respectable C$2,300 with 3,400 XP. Both numbers are good enough that you can sell it for coin or keep fishing for XP and feel you got value either way. It is worth a dedicated Winter session while it remains available.
