Fairies are not a crop mutation at all but the NPCs introduced in the Fairy Event, and that framing changes how you treat them. You do not roll them onto produce or chase a sell multiplier; instead they are the event-side characters you interact with to unlock the rewards and limited items tied to that update. Understanding their role is the key to not wasting time looking for a stat that was never theirs to give.

Their classification as Limited is the headline. Limited content in Grow a Garden is window-bound: once the Fairy Event ends, the associated interactions and any drops that flow through these NPCs stop being obtainable through normal play, which is what creates lasting demand for anything you earned during the event.

So the worthwhile move is timing rather than grinding a multiplier. While the Fairy Event is live, engage with the Fairies to claim whatever event currency, gear, or cosmetics they gate, because those rewards are what hold trade value later. If the event is already over, the Fairies themselves are reference lore, and your attention is better spent on the mutation-bearing crops and pets that actually multiply your harvest income.
