The critical detail is its 25% (1 in 4) chance to be in stock on any given Summer Merchant refresh — far less reliable than a permanent common egg, so you often have to wait out several rotations before you can buy one. That stock gating is the main friction with this egg.

Its 20-minute hatch timer is double the basic Common Egg's wait, a modest tax that reflects its event-exclusive summer pet pool. Even so, twenty minutes is still fast by event standards, so it stays a high-throughput option for stacking summer-themed companions while the event is live. As a common-tier egg, the routine pulls are entry-level, and the better summer pets are the exception rather than the rule.

On value, the calculus is timing more than power: the egg itself is cheap, but the 1-in-4 stock chance means you should grab it whenever it appears and bank a stockpile before the Summer Harvest Event ends. After that it leaves the merchant entirely, and trades become the only route in.
