Eclipse is the newest mutation in Steal a Brainrot, and the Steal a Brainrot wiki lists it as the strongest one in the game. It arrived with the Halloween 2026 content, and it gives a brainrot a bigger income multiplier than anything before it. This guide explains what the Eclipse mutation looks like, how the Eclipse event works, what its reward wheel is expected to give, and how it stacks up against every other mutation. Where the wiki sources disagree, we say so instead of picking a side.

What the Eclipse mutation does
A mutation changes how a brainrot looks and how much cash it earns. A brainrot can only have one mutation at a time, which is the difference between mutations and traits. The wiki lists Eclipse at a 14x multiplier, which is the highest in the table. For comparison, Gold is 1.25x, Rainbow and Divine are 10x, Cyber is 11x, Phantom is 12x and Crystal is 13x.
The wiki describes the look this way: the brainrot turns black, with parts such as the eyes and legs glowing yellow, and a bright sun hangs right above it. That fits the name. The wiki also says Eclipse used to be called Celestial before the rename.

Quick facts
| Fact | What the wiki says |
|---|---|
| Multiplier | 14x (Mutations table) |
| Release date | October 2, 2026 (Mutations page) or October 3, 2026 (Eclipse Event page) |
| Update | Update 69, together with the Haunted Fuse |
| How you get it | Mild chance to be applied to a brainrot during the Eclipse event |
| Old name | Celestial |
| End date | Not listed (TBA) |
How the Eclipse event works
The Eclipse event is a limited-time event. The wiki says that while it runs, brainrots have a mild chance to receive the Eclipse mutation. What exactly changes in the world while the event is active is marked "TBA" on the wiki, so we cannot describe it.
How often the event starts is where the sources disagree:
- The Eclipse Event page says it starts every hour on weekends and every two hours on weekdays.
- The Mutations table says it activates every half hour.
Because both statements are on the wiki and nobody has reconciled them, the safest advice is to watch the in-game event board or timer instead of trusting a schedule. Also note that Sammy, the game's developer, can change event timing at any time.
The reward wheel
The Eclipse Event page lists a wheel of rewards, but it is careful to say it is unknown what you can actually get and that this is what players "probably" get. Treat the table below as an unconfirmed expectation, not a promise.
| Reward | Listed chance |
|---|---|
| Pinch of Cash | 55.75% |
| Wallet of Cash | 34% |
| Truckload of Cash | 7.5% |
| 2x Luck | 2% |
| Eclipse Secret Lucky Block | 0.5% |
| Eclipse Slap | 0.25% |
| Eclipse Hammer | To be announced |
Those listed chances add up to 100 percent without the hammer, so the wiki editors appear to have copied them from a wheel they saw. The most important number is the last one: the Eclipse Secret Lucky Block at 0.5% and the Eclipse Slap at 0.25% are very rare, while more than nine out of ten spins are cash.

What Eclipse means for income
The wiki gives the rule for the math: a brainrot's income is its base income times the mutation multiplier, and traits add their own multipliers on top. Its own example uses Ventoliero Pavonero, which makes $65M/s. Here is that same brainrot with different mutations, using the wiki's method. The Eclipse row is our own arithmetic, not a number from the wiki.

| Mutation | Multiplier | Income |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | 1.25x | $81.25M/s |
| Cyber | 11x | $715M/s |
| Crystal | 13x | $845M/s |
| Eclipse | 14x | $910M/s |
The wiki's example for traits says a 5x trait such as Fire or Nyan adds 5 to the multiplier. If Eclipse stacks the same way, which the wiki does not say outright, the numbers look like this:
| Setup | Multiplier | Income |
|---|---|---|
| Eclipse | 14x | $910M/s |
| Eclipse + a 5x trait (Fire or Nyan) | 14x + 5x = 19x | $1.235B/s |
You can look at Ventoliero Pavonero and Garama and Madundung to see their normal incomes before any mutation.
Does the Eclipse unlock a base?
The wiki says that collecting at least 75 percent of the brainrots of a single mutation unlocks a special base skin for that mutation. It does not say anything specific about an Eclipse base yet, so we cannot tell you the requirement. Check the index in the game.
Eclipse units that were not planned
The Haunted Fuse page records a funny accident. Capitano Gullini and Coco and Mango could be obtained from the Haunted Fuse for a short time, even though that was not supposed to happen. The admin disabled the fuse for a few minutes. The wiki adds that, even so, there are probably some Eclipse units of these two brainrots in the game.

A short history of mutations
Eclipse makes more sense when you see the order the mutations arrived in. According to the wiki, Gold and Diamond were the first two, added in Update 1. Bloodrot was the first mutation with a limited event of its own. Divine came later, and the wiki jokes that when the Divine event first started the developer accidentally spawned Cursed brainrots instead. A mutation called Disco was planned after Divine, but the idea was dropped and replaced with Cyber, which was suggested by a popular Roblox streamer during a video. Crystal was released on July 25, 2026 in Update 59, and now Eclipse takes the top spot as the newest.
The wiki also mentions Mutation Rain, an admin command that makes a set number of brainrots spawn with a random mutation. It was first added in Update 51 to celebrate the game's anniversary. It shows that mutation events are one of the ways the developer likes to shake up the map.
Tips from the numbers
These are simple ideas based on the table, not on testing.
- 1Since Eclipse is a 14x mutation, a brainrot you already like gets the biggest jump from it. A cheap brainrot with Eclipse still earns less than a Secret without it, so look at the base income too.
- 2Do not trade away an Eclipse brainrot without checking its value. Higher multipliers usually mean higher demand, but the game decides the final price between players.
- 3Be online when the event starts if you want to see the mutation roll. Since the wiki disagrees on the schedule, an event timer in the game is your best guide.
- 4Keep the reward wheel in perspective. Cash is the common result, and the Eclipse items are very rare.
Frequently asked questions
Is Eclipse better than Crystal? On the wiki table, yes: 14x against 13x.
Can I choose the Eclipse mutation? The wiki says it has a mild chance to apply during the Eclipse event, so it is random.
Is the 14x number final? It is the value in the Mutations table. One trivia line says 13.5x. We use 14x because it is in the main table.
Is the Eclipse chance a fixed percentage? The wiki only says "mild chance" and gives no exact percentage, so any number you see elsewhere is a guess.
Where are the official notes? The wiki's Update 69 page lists the Eclipse mutation, the Haunted Fuse and the new brainrots, and the update log links to the official Roblox event post for each update.
