Pengwhal guide
Pengwhal is one of the Limited fish tied to the Animal Event, and it is currently obtainable. It belongs to the Second Sea, takes Squid as bait, bites at any time of day under Clear weather, and only appears in Winter. The game describes a sleek swimmer with a horned snout waddling through icy seas.
It is a small catch: 29.5 kg on average (15 to 92.4 kg), C$10.227 per kg, C$301.7 per average fish. That is 448th of 742 documented fish by value, with max weight at 287th of 663, so right around the middle of the table. It gives 1,000 base XP, which is a lot more than its price suggests.
Six other Limited fish are documented at the Animal Event: Capybass, Cluckfin, Crocokoi, Duckfin Tuna, Krabbit and Kittyfish.
Verdict: not a payday, but a good XP-for-effort catch while the event is available. Bring Squid, wait for Winter, and keep it only if you are completing the Limited set. Otherwise the C$301 sale is small.
