Poinsettia

The Poinsettia is a limited Uncommon crop from the Christmas Harvest Event, and that combination of low rarity but limited availability creates an unusual economic profile. Uncommon normally signals a cheap, throwaway plant, but "limited" means once the event closes you cannot buy more — so its scarcity value is artificial rather than rarity-driven. That tension is exactly what makes it tricky to price correctly.

Because the base rarity is only Uncommon, the unmutated sell value will stay modest no matter how patient you are. The real play is not to farm Poinsettia for raw income — common shop crops do that far more efficiently per minute. Instead its worth comes from collection and seasonal trade demand, where players who missed the Christmas event will pay a premium long after the snow melts.

If you do grow it, only sell copies carrying strong mutations; an Uncommon base needs a Gold, Rainbow or stacked weather mutation to clear a meaningful price. Keep at least one clean specimen as a long-hold seasonal asset. Treat the rest as filler you harvest while waiting on higher-rarity crops to mature.
