The Kitsune is the prismatic-tier crown jewel of the Zen line, and prismatic is the very top of Grow a Garden's rarity ladder. That alone tells you everything about its pull rate: when a pet carries the prismatic banner, its hatch odds are punishingly low, and the Kitsune is the headline chase of the Kitsune Chest rather than a casual side reward.

This is the pet players actually grind the whole Zen event for. Because the row carries no fixed cost or hatch percentage, treat any number you see floating around community spreadsheets as an estimate, not gospel, but the practical reality is consistent: most players open dozens of chests and still walk away with the common and uncommon fillers long before a prismatic Kitsune appears. That scarcity is exactly what makes it a status pet, prized for display and trading as much as for any garden bonus.

If you are chasing the Kitsune, commit to the full event grind or budget for trades, because casual play almost never lands a prismatic. It is the long-haul trophy of the Zen update, not an impulse buy.
