About Cosmetics

Cosmetics are decoration objects that can be placed in player's garden. Cosmetics were released on Update 1.07.0. The Lunar Glow Event was around at the time. Cosmetics are mainly used for miscellaneous and creative purposes. They are mainly obtained from the Cosmetics Shop. Crates are used to gain cosmetics. Some crates are limited and related to certain events. Trophies can be obtained through certain in-game events. The only trophy that can currently be claimed for decoration is from the admin-exclusive Monster Mash Event.

Cosmetics — In-Depth Analysis

Cosmetics are not a single gear but a whole category of decorative placeables, introduced in Update 1.07.0 alongside the Lunar Glow Event. Unlike sprinklers or tools, they carry zero gameplay effect — they exist purely for miscellaneous and creative garden design. So the question is never "is this worth the utility," because there is no utility; the value is entirely cosmetic and personal.

Most cosmetics come from the Cosmetics Shop, while crates are the other main source. Some crates are limited and tied to specific events, which makes certain decorations effectively time-gated collectibles rather than permanent shop items. Trophies sit in their own bracket: they are earned through in-game events, and currently the only one claimable for decoration comes from the admin-exclusive Monster Mash Event.

In progression terms, treat cosmetics as a pure-luxury, late-priority spend. There is no farm-efficiency reason to buy them, so they should never compete with sprinklers, mutation gear, or seed expansion for your Sheckles. Once your income is comfortable and your production loop is solid, they are a fine way to personalize your plot — and limited-event crates are the only ones worth prioritizing, since those decorations disappear when the event ends.
