Dog is one of the Grow a Garden pets players specifically seek out because its ability slots cleanly into high-yield farming builds. How you get it depends on which egg is available in the shop at that moment.

Its passive ability: Dog. This means that as long as Dog is equipped, that effect is always on — you don't need to do anything special to trigger it.

Dog can be mutated via special events to amplify the base effect. If you have an unmutated one, consider holding it until a relevant event before using it for trading.

The Dog is one of the 23 pets added in the Grow a Garden Update 1.04.0. It can be obtained by hatching a Common Egg with a 33.33% chance. The Dog has 1,000 hunger. Its ability is identical to the Golden Lab but with a ~5% chance instead of a ~10% chance.
