Shadow Monarch

Shadow Monarch is the apex special boss of the First Sea, residing deep inside the Double Dungeon — one of the most demanding dungeon environments in Sea 1. With 750 million HP, it towers over every other First Sea dungeon boss and functions as a genuine gear-check: underpowered builds will struggle to chip through that health pool before the encounter imposes its toll. Because it is a dungeon boss locked behind the Double Dungeon's entry requirements, encounters are private enough to allow focused coordination without open-world disruption.

The loot table is structured around escalating rarity. Monarch Core drops at 6.75% — the most accessible item and a material many Sea 1 endgame crafting recipes call for. Monarch Essence follows at 2.75%, while the King Of Shadows Title, Kamish Dagger, and Monarch Armor Accessory each hover around the 0.75% range. The Shadow Crystal is the rarest at 0.5%.

The Kamish Dagger and Monarch Armor Accessory are the primary cosmetic and gear targets here, and their near-identical drop rates mean you are equally likely to see either — both require a significant number of clears. For strategy, bring your strongest sustained-damage setup and coordinate with dungeon partners if possible. Every kill is a meaningful step toward the title or dagger even when they don't drop, because the Monarch Core and Essence stack into crafting progress.
