The Frost Empress sword in Sailor Piece is a Mythical Sea 2 sword with a three-step quest: defeat 50 Sea 2 Quincies, collect 20 Soul Fragments and defeat the Frost Empress boss. Its F move then asks for the Kuchiki clan, 10,000,000 gems, an Ice Core, 25 Soul Fragments and 10 Bankai Essence. The name is easy to mix up with the Ice Queen sword and a title also called "Frost Empress", which is a separate chain: the title drops from the Ice Queen boss and is a requirement for the Ice Queen sword. This guide sorts all of that out.
A quick honesty note. We did not play-test any of this. The facts come from the Sailor Piece Fandom wiki: the Frost Empress (Sword) page (last edited August 9, 2026), the Ice Queen sword and boss pages, the Frost Relic page (edited October 21, 2026), and the Titles, Clans, Items, Accessories and Boss Island pages. The wiki still lists the sword's abilities as "TBA", and some pages contradict each other. We flag those.

| Trivia on the wiki | "Does the most damage out of all the swords" |
Treat that last line as a wiki claim, not a measured fact. The wiki does not publish damage numbers for it. Our own page is Frost Empress sword.
Before you start: you need Sea 2
The sword page calls this a Sea 2 sword (Frost Island, where the quest NPC stands, is not on the wiki's Islands page), so the first requirement is getting to Sea 2. The Sea Traveler NPC lets you in once you have Ascension level 5 and are level 12,750. His two quests are to find 2 Ancient Fragments across the sea and then collect 7 Map Pieces from defeated bosses. The wiki lists the bosses for each piece:
| Map Piece | Bosses (any one of these) |
|---|---|
| 1 | Knight (Boss Island) or Cursed Vessel (Shibuya Station) |
| 2 | Cursed King or Limitless Sorcerer (both Shibuya Station) |
| 3 | Qin Shi (Boss Island) or Solo Hunter (Sailor Island) |
| 4 | Vampire Hunter (Sailor Island) or Demon King (Academy Island) |
| 5 | Manipulator (Hollow Island) or Slime (Slime Island) |
| 6 | Soul Reaper, Blessed Maiden (Boss Island) or Strongest of Today (Shinjuku Island) |
| 7 | Strongest in History (Shinjuku Island) or King of Heroes (Boss Island) |
Our Sea 2 unlock guide covers the same ground in short form. Once you are in Sea 2, the quest line below is the way to the sword.
Step by step: the quest line
The wiki says the Soul Reaper Trainer NPC on Frost Island runs the quest. It has three stages:
- 1Defeat 50 Sea 2 Quincies. The sword page does not say where they spawn. The Items page mentions Quincy NPCs at Soul Dominion, which the Islands page lists in Sea 1, but nothing ties those to the Sea 2 ones.
- 2Collect 20 Soul Fragments. See the farming notes below.
- 3Defeat the Frost Empress. She is a world boss that spawns on Frost Island, according to the Accessories page.

After stage 3 the sword is yours. Or you can skip all of it with the 599 Robux Shop purchase, which is far cheaper than the 1,399 Robux the Ice Queen sword costs in the same shop.
Where Soul Fragments come from
The Soul Fragment drops from the Soul Reaper boss, and the wiki's two pages disagree on how often. The Items page says a 29.16% drop rate from the Soul Reaper boss, while the Boss Island page lists 6%. You need 20 for the quest and 25 more for the F move, so 45 in total, and the Soul Reaper sword uses 8 more. With numbers that far apart we would not plan around either one.
What the Frost Empress drops
The only item the wiki attaches to her is the Frozen Outfit at 2.88%, on the Accessories page, which lists 140% defense, 15% damage reduction and 120% damage for the outfit. Apart from that, the Titles page credits her with the "Frozen Monarch" title: +117.5% damage, with a pity of 125. That title name shows up under a slightly different boss name ("Frozen Empress"), so we take it to be the same boss, but the wiki does not state that outright.
Unlocking the F move
The Frost Empress F Move Mastery NPC unlocks it. The Frost Empress sword page lists:
| Requirement | Amount |
|---|---|
| Clan | Kuchiki |
| Gems | 10,000,000 |
| Ice Core | 1 |
| Soul Fragments | 25 |
| Bankai Essence | 10 |
The reward is the F move plus a +300% damage bonus. The Bankai Essence has no source listed on the wiki pages we read, so we cannot tell you where to farm it. The Ice Core drops from the Ice Queen boss: the Items page says 0.5% base, the boss page says 0.53%. Taking 0.53% at face value, that is roughly 1 in 190 kills on average (100 divided by 0.53 is about 189). The pity counter on that boss applies to the title, not the Ice Core.
The Kuchiki clan is Legendary and only comes from clan rerolls. The Clans page lists +45% damage, +52% max HP, +17% sword damage and +15% luck, plus a passive: every 5 abilities, the next one deals +60% damage. So the clan looks useful on its own even before the F move, though that is our reading of the numbers. The other clans are on our clan list.
Do not confuse it with the Ice Queen sword
The Ice Queen sword is a different weapon with a different seller and a very different list. The wiki places it in Sea 1 with a seller on Boss Island:
| Frost Empress sword | Ice Queen sword | |
|---|---|---|
| Sea | Sea 2 | Sea 1 (late) |
| Where | Soul Reaper Trainer, Frost Island | Ice Queen Seller, Boss Island |
| Quest or materials | 50 Quincies, 20 Soul Fragments, boss kill | "Frost Empress" title, 40,000 gems, 1 Ice Core, 4 Frost Brand, 9 Glacier Remnant, 17 Battle Shard, 25 Frost Relic |
| Shop price | 599 Robux | 1,399 Robux |
| F move needs | Kuchiki clan, 10M gems, 1 Ice Core, 25 Soul Fragments, 10 Bankai Essence | Frostbane clan, 2 Ice Core, 10 Frozen Brand, 85 Frost Relic |
| Playstyle on the wiki | Not described | High, consistent damage over a massive area |

Notice the naming trap in the Ice Queen column. It needs the "Frost Empress" title, but the wiki ties that title to the Ice Queen boss, not to the Frost Empress boss. The Titles page says the "Frost Empress" title drops from the Ice Queen boss at 0.65% with a pity of 155, and it gives +87.5% damage. So by the wiki's own pages, the title and the Ice Queen sword form one chain and the Frost Empress boss and sword form another. Our pages for the Ice Queen sword, the Ice Queen boss, the Frost Empress boss and Frost Island keep the names apart.
Ice Queen boss numbers
The Ice Queen is summoned on Boss Island with Frost Relics. The Ice Queen boss page lists these difficulties:
| Difficulty | Health | To summon |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | 1.65B | 1 Frozen Relic, 750,000 money, 750 gems |
| Medium | 5B | 2 Frozen Relics, 1,000,000 money, 1,000 gems |
| Hard | 13.5B | 3 Frozen Relics, 1,250,000 money, 1,250 gems |
| Extreme | 32.5B | 4 Frozen Relics, 1,250,000 money, 1,250 gems |
Its drops: Battle Shard 16.20%, Glacier Remnant 5.37%, Ice Queen Outfit 1.42%, Frost Brand 1.21%, Ice Core 0.53% and the Frost Empress title at 0.65% with a pity of 155. The wiki says "Frozen Relic" on this page and "Frost Relic" on the item page, and everything points at the same item. Likewise the sword page asks for Frost Brand and its F move for Frozen Brand, while the boss page lists only Frost Brand as a drop, so those are probably one item too (the Items page lists Frozen Brand with a "TBA" drop rate).
The Frost Relic is where the wiki disagrees. The Items page says it drops from NPCs at Shibuya Station and above. The Frost Relic page itself, edited on October 21, says any NPC in Sea 1 or Sea 2 can drop it, with higher level NPCs giving better odds. The newer page is the one to trust. It means you can farm relics while you work on the Frost Empress quest line.
Which route should you take?
If you only want the Frost Empress sword, the quest line is the cheap path: three stages and no gems before the F move. The F move is the expensive part, at 10,000,000 gems and a Legendary clan you cannot choose. If you want to skip everything, the Shop price is 599 Robux and ends the farming completely, which is a fair deal next to the Ice Queen sword's 1,399 Robux.
Ice Queen is the heavier project: a title with a pity of 155, 25 relics for the sword and 85 for its F move, on top of a clan roll. You can compute the Normal-difficulty cost. The wiki does not define "pity"; if it means 155 kills, then at 1 Frozen Relic per summon that is 155 relics, and the sword and its F move want another 110 as materials. This is our arithmetic from the wiki's numbers, not a number the wiki prints.
What the wiki does not say
- What either sword's moves actually do. Every ability is "TBA".
- Where the Sea 2 Quincies spawn, or whether they drop anything useful for the quest.
- Where Bankai Essence drops.
- A health number or respawn timer for the Frost Empress boss. The wiki lists neither.
Quick checklist
- Sea 2 unlocked: Ascension 5, level 12,750, 2 Ancient Fragments, 7 Map Pieces
- 50 Quincies defeated
- 20 Soul Fragments (and 25 more for the F move)
- Frost Empress boss defeated
- For the F move: Kuchiki clan, 10,000,000 gems, 1 Ice Core, 10 Bankai Essence
Frequently asked questions
