The Baiting badge is one of the most accessible rewards in the game, carrying a 0-star difficulty and granting 4 diamonds for fully upgrading your Fishing Rod to its maximum level. There is no boss, no biome run, and no time pressure, just a steady investment in a single tool over the course of normal play.

Each rod upgrade costs resources, so the only real barrier is grinding the materials and coins needed to push through every tier. Fishing itself is the natural way to fund this: the more you fish, the more you earn toward the next upgrade, creating a self-sustaining loop. Keep visiting the upgrade station between casts rather than waiting until you have a giant stockpile.

Tip: because the rod upgrade persists, work on this passively while pursuing other goals near water. A maxed rod also pulls in better catches faster, so the badge doubles as a quality-of-life boost for any future fishing you do, the 4 diamonds are almost a bonus on top of a genuinely useful tool upgrade.
