Between late June and early October 2026, 99 Nights in the Forest released seven limited-time updates, and each one came with its own badges. That adds up to 24 new badges and, according to the wiki's Badges page, 190 diamonds. This guide puts them all in one place and ranks them by the difficulty the wiki assigns, so you can see which ones are quick wins and which ones need real planning. It starts with Alien's Revenge in June and ends with the Halloween badges from the Helping Happy update. Everything comes from the wiki's Badges page and Update Log, and none of it was tested by us in the game.

How to read the ratings
The Badges page lists every badge with a difficulty in stars and a reward in diamonds. A few caveats are worth knowing before you plan your runs:
- The page itself says that, for some reason, a badge displayed in the game shows half a star less than its real difficulty, so treat the stars as a rough guide.
- Badges are temporary, so each set stays available only while its update is live.
- The wiki states that no badge can be obtained during an update party, even if you do everything the badge asks.
- Some badges count progress across runs, such as the Dino Kid tape badges and Beekeeping, while others need to be done in a single game.

Ranked from easiest to hardest
| Stars | Badges |
|---|---|
| 0.5 | Dino Kid Tape 1 |
| 1 | Kraken Daycare, Bellringing |
| 1.5 | Alien Engineering, Playtime, Dino Kid Tape 2, Apiary, Squid Daycare, Aerodynamics, Escape Artist's Quest, Elemental's Quest, Reaping |

| 3 | Mutiny, Babysitting, Warding |
| 3.5 | Xenotech, Koala Daycare |
| 4 | Dino Kid Tape 3 |
Nine of the 24 badges sit at 1.5 stars, so there is a big pool of medium-easy ones. Only one badge, Dino Kid Tape 3, reaches 4 stars, and it needs you to keep Dino Kid protected for 60 nights in total across runs.
Best diamonds for the effort
If you divide diamonds by stars, a few badges stand out. This is only a rough way to compare, because the stars are the wiki's own rating and some badges take long even when they are rated low.
| Badge | Diamonds | Stars | Diamonds per star |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dino Kid Tape 1 | 5 | 0.5 | 10 |
| Hivecraft | 15 | 2 | 7.5 |
| Playtime | 10 | 1.5 | 6.7 |
| Dino Kid Tape 2 | 10 | 1.5 | 6.7 |
| Aerodynamics | 8 | 1.5 | 5.3 |
| Squid Daycare | 8 | 1.5 | 5.3 |
At the other end, the three Alien's Revenge badges pay 5 diamonds each even though two of them are rated 3 and 3.5 stars, so they are the lowest return on your time.
Furniture rewards
Several sets end with a furniture item for finishing all three badges, according to the Update Log: a Polar Bearskin Rug for Biome Refresh, a bonsai tree for New Classes and Happy's Cart for Halloween. For Dino Kid, the Update Log says to complete all badges for the Dinosaur Egg, while the Dino Kid page says the first three are enough. The wiki lists no furniture reward for the Bee Biome, Kids Have Jobs or Alien's Revenge sets.

Notes on the harder badges
A few details from the wiki can save you time on the badges that look awkward at first.
- Dino Kid Tape badges. Nights only count when Dino Kid is not upset, and they add up across runs. The wiki recommends feeding him Stew and keeping four or five Bandages and Cakes ready for his needs.
- Warding. The challenge has three difficulty options, the number of cultist waves equals the difficulty you pick, and any choice gives the badge.
- Xenotech. It has to be done in one game: defeat every Alien in the UFO and open every side room.
- Nestbuilding. The Update Log says feathers were re-added as loot in the Snow Biome and are used at the Owl's Nest, so check snow structures when you are there.
- Escape Artist's Quest. Seven alpha wolves have to chase you at once, which is why it is usually done on a map with many wolves around.
The last point is our own reading of the badge text and not a wiki tip.
A simple order for your runs
This order is our own suggestion, based on the wiki numbers. We have not tested it ourselves.
- 1Start with the cheap quick ones that need only one action: Bellringing, Kraken Daycare, Alien Engineering and the Escape Artist and Elemental quests.
- 2Add the badges that feed each other in one run, such as Reaping and Sweeping, or Playtime and Babysitting.
- 3Leave the long ones, like the Dino Kid tape badges and Koala Daycare, for runs where you are already caring for the kids.
- 4Do not wait too long. Every set is temporary, and nothing earns badges in an update party.
Why the totals matter
Diamonds buy classes in the class shop, so 190 diamonds is a real amount compared with the price of the cheaper classes. The Classes page lists the Camper and the Escape Artist at 10 diamonds each, the Scavenger at 25 and many mid-game classes between 40 and 100. Even a handful of easy badges per update can pay for a new class every month or so. We did not count the older 2025 sets, which the Badges page also lists, because most of them were tied to updates that are no longer live.
What we could not confirm
The wiki is not always consistent. The Hivecraft badge shows 15 diamonds on the Badges page but 4 on the Beekeeper page, and the Dino Kid furniture condition differs between two pages. The Bloxfest and Easter 2026 badges are listed with 0 stars and 0 diamonds, so we left them out of the totals, and the Valentine's 2026 badge, Compassion, is 1.5 stars for 4 diamonds. The totals above use the Badges page numbers and may change if the wiki is corrected.
