Captain Elephant Strategy & Best Use

Captain Elephant is the imposing First Sea boss stationed at the Jungle area, targetable from level 300+. He carries approximately 75,000 HP and uses a bludgeoning physical moveset with a ground stomp that deals heavy knockback. His drops are modest but meaningful for early progression: Elephant Shield (3% — very useful early-game accessory), Beli stacks, and a decent EXP payout. Respawn timer is a snappy 10–15 minutes, making him one of the most accessible farming bosses in the game.

Captain Elephant is straightforward to fight — dodge the stomp by moving laterally, never backward. His trunk sweep has a wide hitbox but only activates when you stand within 8 studs of him. Light fruit shreds him quickly with its superior range; even base Flame or Ice works fine at this level. Sword users can spam any mid-tier sword attack — Cutlass or Pole combos will loop him safely. He has no elemental resistance, so anything goes.

New players should make Captain Elephant their first consistent farming target. The respawn is fast enough to grind without tedium, the Elephant Shield adds real defense for early-game PvP, and the EXP accelerates leveling noticeably between 300–450. Budget 5–10 kills for the shield at 3% odds — it's achievable in a single session. Once you outgrow him around level 500+, revisit only for the occasional Beli top-up while passing through the Jungle.
