Hell's Messenger

Hell's Messenger (variant) is the alternate-spawn version of the volcanic demon boss, sharing the same fire-and-darkness kit but tuned for a slightly different level bracket encounter. It appears in lava-adjacent zones and serves as an introduction to the endgame difficulty spike that defines late Second Sea content. Players who have not yet completed their accessory loadout will find this variant a useful stepping stone before tackling the harder spawn.

Combat tactics mirror the main variant but with a reduced HP pool that rewards aggressive burst strategies. Opening with your highest-damage cooldowns immediately and sustaining pressure through the first two phases before the darkness pulse activates gives players the best chance of a clean kill. Teams of two can divide roles: one kites the boss while the other charges burst moves, cycling when the kiter needs cooldown recovery.

This variant drops the same accessory and fragment categories as the primary, making it an equally valid farm target. Its slightly faster kill time per cycle means higher volume of runs per session, which is particularly useful when farming for low-drop-rate accessories. Players transitioning from First Sea to Second Sea content frequently use this boss as a benchmark to measure their build strength before engaging stronger content.
