Description

Buddha is a Legendary Beast-type Devil Fruit in Blox Fruits that costs 1,200,000 Beli or 1,650 Robux. When activated, the Transform move wraps you in golden light and turns you into a towering Buddha statue, massively extending your melee reach. That extended reach is what makes Buddha the single best grinding fruit in the game — your M1 attacks hit everything around you, letting you farm mobs and mastery at insane speed. In PvP, Heavenly Impact slams the ground with a golden explosion that is hard to dodge at close range, and the awakened Twilight of the Gods rains down a barrage of light columns for huge burst damage. Buddha is fully awakenable for 14,500 Fragments, unlocking the Shift form with sea-walking ability and the powerful Retribution Dash grab. The main weakness is a large hitbox that makes you an easy target for ranged attacks.

Moves & Abilities

9 moves
Moveset (V1)
Z
Transform
Mastery 1

The user gets engulfed by a yellow column of light, before transforming into a huge, yellow, glowing Buddha based on the user's Roblox avatar, becoming approximately 3x bigger than their normal form. This move is required to be able to use other Buddha's moves. * Awakened moves cannot be used in this form. * If the user's avatar does not have any skin, the user will just become a bigger version of themselves.

X
Impact
Mastery 1

The user charges a shining ball of light in their right hand, then touches the ground with their palm, creating a large explosion that blows nearby enemies away, although a large amount of startup time renders the user vulnerable.

C
Buddha Leap
Mastery 100

The user leaps into the air, landing where the cursor is pointed. This creates a shock wave that damages enemies on impact, unless landed in water. This move has a one second end-lag. If used from high places like Upper Skylands, it will fall infinitely until it hits a surface (e.g. Water). This move is similar to Mammoth#Moveset

V
Buddha Explosion
Mastery 200

The user charges themselves for 0.5 seconds inside their body, then lets out a large explosion around them, dealing heavy damage to all enemies nearby and launching them away.

Moveset (V2)
Z
Shift
Mastery 1

The user transforms into a giant golden Buddha that is surrounded by three symbol-filled rings and two squares with Chinese Hanzi. While transforming, a lightning bolt strikes the ground at the user's location, knocking away all nearby enemies and dealing damage. While transformed, the user is tall enough to stand on the floor of the sea, allowing them to Dashing

X
Heavenly Impact
Mastery 1

The user gathers energy in their right fist as they are about to slam the ground. An explosion occurs afterwards, with golden light erupting from the place hit. This move cannot be held.

C
Light of Annihilation
Mastery 100

The user starts gathering energy for a short while. After fully charging up, or after releasing the move, the user fires a concentrated golden light beam (supposedly out of their mouth) towards their cursor. Said beam explodes upon contact with a solid surface (or after reaching maximum distance) and deals damage to anyone hit by it. Enemies hit by the beam will receive nearly 2x more damage than enemies hit by the explosion.

V
Twilight of the Gods
Mastery 200

The user rises up and initiates a huge barrage of golden light beams towards the ground underneath them in a wide radius that explode upon contact, stunning anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the attack. After 3 seconds, the user sends down a big, column-like golden light ray, knocking away all nearby enemies and dealing damage to them. This move cannot be held.

F
Retribution Dash

The user quickly dashes forward, leaving behind a trail of golden afterimages of themselves. If an enemy is in the move's path, the user grabs them up and then slams them into the ground, launching the enemy away. If hit, this move stuns both the user and the enemy for around 1.5 seconds, and while the move is being executed, the user can move around and jump.

Pros

15
  • Not too difficult to obtain for what it is worth.
  • One of the best fruits for grinding levels and mastery, due to its massive range buffs for M1's of Fighting Styles and Swords.
  • It is also decent for grinding Gun mastery - use your Fighting Style/Sword to deal damage, then finish off with your Gun.
  • Great value in trading.
  • Decent damage.
  • All moves (excluding ) can break Instinct.
  • Smaller size hitbox when compared to its Awakened version, making it easier to avoid moves.
  • Good damage reduction.
  • Offers a jump boost.
  • Nearly instant transformation.
  • Little-to-no endlag.
  • Decent AoE.
  • Decent knockback.
  • Good damage.
  • Good mobility.

Cons

15
  • Unreliable for combos due to many fighting style and sword moves not working properly when transformed.
  • Ice can easily counter Buddha using combos which include the [C] or [V] move.
  • must be active before using other moves.
  • None of its moves can be held.
  • All moves (excluding [Z]) can be easily avoided.
  • Lacks long-range attacks.
  • Increases the user's hitbox, allowing enemies to hit them more easily.
  • The Fruit by itself is not optimal for grinding.
  • Long startup.
  • High endlag.
  • Small hitbox.
  • Difficult to aim, and cannot be interrupted once started.
  • Mostly ground-based.
  • Small amount of endlag.
  • High endlag, and therefore can leave the user vulnerable to counter-attacks.

Trivia

10
  • 1Rabbit does add speed, but the difference is less when transformed. This is because Rabbit's buffs for Buddha got nerfed.
  • 2Accessories provide speed boosts normally.
  • 3Pilot Helmet and Rabbit V2 will allow the user to move at a moderate speed, and the Agility (V3 ability) can help if the player is not in Third Sea
  • 4Draco's V2 flight ability and Flash Step are significantly buffed in Buddha form, letting the user fly much higher and their Flash Step having a much larger AoE.
  • 5Buddha's unawakened total damage reduction when stacked with full body Aura is 54%, while the awakened form has 61%.
  • 6Using Shark V3 while wearing the Leviathan Shield will make the user's defense (against Melee/Sword/Gun attacks) up to 90%, or 79.14% by using Cyborg V3.
  • 7Unawakened Buddha moves can be used while in awakened form. However, awakened moves cannot be used in unawakened form.
  • 8Buddha is a great choice to grind with, but Elemental fruits are far better choices in First Sea due to them being easier to obtain.
  • 9Sanguine Art gains a higher range buff when transformed compared to other Fighting Styles. However, unlike other Fighting Styles, Sanguine Art has a small blind spot around the user's legs while transformed.
  • 10Although Buddha generally makes the user very powerful, its main weaknesses are its huge hitbox, slow speed, and low range, since most Buddha users use swords as their main damage output, so some fruits can easily counter Buddha, either by using long and inescapable combos, or by simply out-ranging them. A great example is Gas, as its transformation fixes most issues Buddha has, mainly with speed, range, and stuns, and is even considered by some people as a superior option for both grinding and PvP.

Buddha — In-Depth Analysis

Buddha is S-tier in 2026 and has been one of the most consistently powerful fruits in Blox Fruits for years — and for good reason. Its transformed state massively expands your hitbox while keeping damage input reduced, creating a kit built for melee sword combat that trivializes most boss raids and grinding content. It's the undisputed king of Raid Boss clearing and remains a top pick for crew-based content where your job is to be an unkillable frontline.

The classic and still-optimal setup: Shark race (activates at low HP for a massive damage boost), full Melee stats, and Dragon Trident or Yama as your sword of choice. Awakening priority is TransformBuddha's Light → the rest. In PvP, Buddha is less dominant than in PvE — skilled players know to stay mobile — but with Electric Claw mastery it still pulls serious weight in ranked bounty hunting.

Buddha costs 1,200,000 Beli or 1,650 Robux in the shop — surprisingly affordable for an S-tier fruit. Trade value reflects its demand: it consistently ranks as one of the most-sought fruits in the player economy, and you can leverage it for good returns on trades. New players should prioritize getting this fruit early; the time-to-clear improvement in grinding is immediately noticeable.
