Description

Cursed Dual Katana is a sword sword in Blox Fruits and slots into the broader sword tier list around the sword-rank baseline. Whether it's worth chasing depends on your build: pure-fruit mains usually skip mid-rarity swords entirely, while sword-mains and combo PvPers chain weapons to alternate movesets without the cooldown overlap that comes from spamming a single fruit. Common swords are starter-tier weapons. Use them to grind early mastery levels and immediately upgrade once you can afford an Uncommon or higher. Pair Cursed Dual Katana with a fighting style that complements its swing speed — Godhuman or Sanguine Art covers any sword's M1 gap with bursty kicks, while Death Step's range trade is the classic combo extender. As a sword, Cursed Dual Katana draws from your sword stat pool, so respeccing into 2,500+ sword stat is a hard prerequisite to hit its full damage ceiling. Mastery scales with hits landed; M1 spam during low-level grinding is the fastest way to climb early, then transition to skill-spam against bosses for the multiplier. It costs free / quest reward from the relevant NPC vendor, premium shop, or quest reward — keep an eye out for the related sword dealer or boss drop chain when you reach the corresponding sea. If your loadout already has a higher-tier sword, Cursed Dual Katana can still earn a slot as a swap option — Blox Fruits' "Z + sword swap" tech is one of the fastest ways to chain skills without giving the enemy a recovery window.

Moves & Abilities

3 moves
M1
Normal Attack

The player does 2 slashes, then they spin and do as they do a slash, then ending on the fourth with a cross slash.

Z
Revolving Ravager
Mastery 175

The user spins around, zooming their view out and forming a red and black tornado that stuns and damages targets that are near it. Afterwards, the user will unleash the tornado, which pulls enemies away and captures and drags any enemies in its path, and then explodes, which will fling enemies towards the user. While this move is held, the tornado will stay in place for some time, dealing extra damage.

X
Slayer of Goliath
Mastery 375

The user executes a backflip before crossing their swords in an X pattern, dashing towards the enemy(s) at high speed, and slicing them, dealing high damage. This move can be held to go further and deal more damage. Additionally, when hit, a second explosion will occur, dealing slightly less damage and knocking the target back. Finally, the target will see a large quickly spinning X obstructing their screen when hit. This move can bypass the protection granted by Dragon and only a % of Buddha transformations.

Pros

15
  • High combo potential.
  • Very high damage.
  • All moves are multi-target.
  • All moves can damage enemies in Sea Events.
  • Very good for PvP if used correctly.
  • Great for grinding because of its high damage, fast [M1] attack speed, AoE, and no forward dash on [M1] attacks.
  • Long stun if held.
  • Big vertical hitbox.
  • Great combo starter.
  • Extends the enemy's hitbox, making the player capable of extending combos with short range moves.
  • Great mobility.
  • Very long range if held.
  • Great combo potential.
  • Disregard some of Buddha's defense and ignore's Dragon's defense buffs.
  • The tap version can be used to punish players for missing their moves if the user have good aim since the tap version breaks instinct if landed directly and has very little startup and endlag.

Cons

12
  • Cannot hit Blade users.
  • Hard to obtain, as the player needs both Tushita and Yama, both swords with 350 mastery to start the Cursed Dual Katana puzzle, which is quite time-consuming on its own. Tushita requires rip_indra True Form spawned to start the puzzle for it.
  • High mastery requirements.
  • All moves are Instinct Trickable.
  • A highly used sword, thus, very well known on how to counter.
  • Not good for grinding, as the tornado does not drag multiple enemies when released. However, the explosion can hit multiple enemies.
  • Instinct trickable
  • Small hitbox.
  • Hard to hit moving opponents.
  • The second explosion does not occur against multiple enemies. It can only occur to one enemy.
  • Second highest mastery requirement for a skill in the game (375), behind death step (400).
  • Players often trick Cursed Dual Katana users, as they wait the user to hold the entire X, and when the cdk user travels to the target, they can get surprised by the opponent sudden moves (Like Ice's V).

Trivia

10
  • 1Cursed Dual Katana is often abbreviated as "CDK" by players.
  • 2The Cursed Dual Katana deals the fourth-highest damage per click out of every sword in the game (the third is True Triple Katana, the second is Bisento V2, and the first is Triple Dark Blade).
  • 3is as fast as Dark Blade's move, but Dark Blade’s move has more range.
  • 4requires 375 Mastery, the second-highest move mastery requirement in the game. Only Death Step's is higher, at 400 Mastery.
  • 5Despite this, once a player reaches Cake Land, enemies yield relatively more mastery, making it easier to grind past this point.
  • 6Using Godhuman's move while the opponent is trapped inside the tornado from Cursed Dual Katana's move will cause the move's animation to follow the opponent who is trapped inside the tornado.
  • 7The Cursed Dual Katana was considered one of the best swords in the game by the community due to its versatility and attack power, but many more recent weapons outshine it in most fields.
  • 8The Cursed Dual Katana, along with Shark Anchor, is the only swords in the game that ignore Dragon's defense buff.
  • 9There was a glitch that allowed the player to use and immediately unequip the sword from their hotbar will freeze the target in place, rendering them unable to move until they die or switch teams. This has been patched on the Dragon Update.
  • 10When the player is holding Cursed Dual Katana, it is noticeable that Yama's handle has two small demonic wings flapping around, whereas Tushita has two small angelical wings flapping around; however, the animation is easily missable.
