Description
The Saw has blue skin consistent with a Fishman design, and black hair. He wears an unbuttoned, short-sleeved orange shirt decorated with black palm tree silhouettes. He wears maroon trousers that appear to have some detailing or tattered hems at the bottom. He holds the Shark Saw which is the unique drop that the player gets after defeating him. The Saw can be found behind the fountain at the Middle Town in front of the house with a ladder.

It is not recommended to use Combat or Dark Step to fight the Saw unless they are paired with Buddha, as they are all short-ranged and have mediocre knockback.

If the player is beneath Lv. 50, it is usually preferable to have some assistance with The Saw.

Gun and Sword Mains under Lv. 50 are not advised to fight The Saw, as either the damage is low or the range is too close (since The Saw can deal a lot of damage in a single hit), and it isn't a good idea to be a Gun/Sword Main at all under Lvl. 50.

One way to defeat The Saw is to use the "Hit and run" strategy. The player can dash into The Saw, land a hit, and then dash away before it responds and strikes them. If done correctly and effectively, the player should be able to land strikes on the boss without being struck themselves. When using this strategy, it is important to conserve energy so that it is possible to dash away from attacks.

Another way is to lure him and trap him outside the fountain (The player needs to stand inside the fountain), then spam ranged attacks. Be aware not to use attacks with high knockback because the player could blast him out, leading to him using Execution to attack them.

Fighting The Saw is not recommended if over Lv. 200, as the reward is almost useless compared to the swords that the player has on hand (for example the Saber, completed via the Saber Puzzle).
