Description

Forged through the Dragon Hunter crafting path on Hydra Island, the Dragonheart is one of the most coveted legendary swords in Blox Fruits. Reaching it requires travelling to the Third Sea and committing to a dedicated crafting quest, which makes it a genuine trophy rather than something casually stumbled upon. As a sword, the Dragonheart scales with your Sword stat, so investing mastery points there before you obtain it will let you squeeze the most out of its moveset from the first swing. Its two moves, Draconic Blitz and Infernal Catastrophe, carry names that hint at aggressive, high-pressure playstyles — ideal for players who like to push opponents into corners rather than play defensively. Because of its legendary rarity, the Dragonheart sits in an elite tier where raw power and prestige overlap. Grinding for it is worth the effort if you intend to main a sword build in the late game.

Moves & Abilities

3 moves
M1
Normal Attack

The player does 3 swipes, then performs a lunge on the fourth.

Z
Draconic Blitz
Mastery 150

The user summons a dragon that swirls in an almost zig-zag path, which is carried by the user as they lunge forward, carrying the enemy as well whilst the dragon burns away and crackles, similar to an ignited fuse.

X
Infernal Catastrophe
Mastery 350

The user holds Dragonheart upwards, creating a large flaming ball similar to Flame's [V] move, then launches it at the aimed position, resulting in an extreme shockwave and fiery explosion, leaving a trail of flames and dealing massive damage. When the move is held, the user's screen slightly shifts into red with embers scattered awaft, the ball of fire grows larger, and a circle of flames and embers surround the user, dealing damage to any enemies within it. The explosion also tends to "latch onto" walls if it makes contact with one.

Trivia

10
  • 1Dragonheart was initially considered to be included in the new kit of the reworked Dragon fruit.
  • 2Dragonheart is the only sword in the game that requires the player to craft it.
  • 3Despite the recipe being available after obtaining Dojo Belt (Red), Dragonheart cannot be obtained until the player has Dragon Tether as it requires a Dragon Egg.
  • 4500 Mastery is needed on this sword to light one of the lamps on Hydra Island, which is required to obtain Draco V4.
  • 5The sound of the M1 when hitting an enemy is the exact same as Dragon Talon, Dragon Breath, and Fox Lamp's M1 sound effects.
  • 6Similar to Dragonstorm, this is the only sword having a compound noun as its name. The word "Dragonheart" is not an English word and is a compound/combination of the words, "dragon" and "heart". (Another example of a compound noun would be "moveset".)
  • 7Dragonheart's 's fire ring stays in place while moving on boats.
  • 8The fiery effects from the move is the same as Rengoku's held .
  • 9If the user uses during high ping, the player will be able to fly for a short while, before teleporting back to the place where the user started the move.
  • 10There is currently a glitch with the Dragonheart, that if you use the [Z] Move and hold, and quickly talk to an NPC, you will fly in the air. Which is faster than Lights [F] move. (Both awakened and unawakened.)

Dragonheart — In-Depth Analysis

Identity and Rarity

Dragonheart is a Legendary-rarity sword introduced in Update 24, craftable at Hydra Island in the Third Sea. As a late-game crafted weapon, it represents a deliberate investment in materials rather than a lucky drop — and its performance reflects that with high damage output, large hitboxes, and exceptional aerial capability that very few swords can match.

How to Obtain

Dragonheart is crafted through the Dragon Hunter crafting path at Hydra Island. There is no Beli purchase option — you will need to collect the required materials through the Third Sea's content loop. This makes it a grind-to-craft weapon rather than a buy or drop, which means your first attempts at obtaining it will require planning around the material requirements.

Role: Air PvP Specialist and Damage Dealer

Dragonheart launches a controllable dragon projectile that is easy to steer, fast enough to hit moving targets, and deals full damage regardless of when it connects within its travel — meaning a hit at the last possible moment deals the same damage as one point-blank. This consistency, combined with an oversized hitbox that exceeds the visual model of the dragon itself, makes it surprisingly forgiving to land in chaotic air fights.

It does not break Instinct, which is a notable gap in its kit. The held variant also has endlag that can be punished by opponents using long-range counters.

Tip: Combine Dragonheart with a stun-capable fruit skill first — once the enemy is locked, the dragon projectile is nearly guaranteed to connect and apply its stun.
