Description
Among the handful of legendary swords available in the Second Sea, Shizu stands out for its emphasis on speed over raw brute force. Its two moves, True Quiet Rush and Focus Shot, reward precise timing — the rush chains into targets in rapid succession while Focus Shot fires a concentrated projectile, making the sword a natural fit for players who stack the Sword stat and want near-instant combo openers in PvP. Acquiring Shizu takes some patience. The Legendary Sword Dealer, the exclusive vendor, spawns at one of several rotating spots in the Second Sea and must have Shizu in his current stock — it is not guaranteed every spawn cycle. Access to the dealer at all requires completing the Colosseum Quest first. Once you find him with Shizu available, the price is 2,000,000 Beli. Because the hitboxes on both moves are relatively tight, Shizu rewards players who practice their positioning. Mastery builds up as you land hits in normal gameplay, gradually unlocking the full potential of each move.

Shizu — In-Depth Analysis
What Is Shizu?
Shizu is a Legendary sword sold by the Legendary Sword Dealer in the Second Sea for 2,000,000 Beli. It arrived with the second major sword dealer expansion and has a distinct identity: a long-range projector sword whose reach visually extends further than the hitbox animations suggest, catching enemies off-guard at distances they thought were safe.
Strengths and Weaknesses in Play
Shizu's appeal is straightforward — very long range, fast move animations, minimal endlag, and a fast projectile cast speed that makes it feel snappy compared to slower legendary alternatives. Both moves can hit Sea Beasts and multiple targets, giving it grinding utility beyond pure PvP. In Sea 2, where player fights often happen across terrain gaps, the extended effective range is a genuine advantage.
The downsides, however, demand respect. Despite the long range claim, the actual hitboxes are relatively small and the projectiles are predictable — experienced opponents will read the angle and dodge. Neither move breaks Instinct, so you need a reliable setup before committing Shizu's skills.
- Best role: Sea 2 PvP poking and ranged combo initiating - Key trait: effective range exceeds visual reach — use this to pressure opponents who think they are safe - Concrete tip: Fire Shizu's projectile from an unexpected angle (off a cliff edge or from above) to reduce the window opponents have to Instinct-dodge; straight horizontal shots are the easiest to read and sidestep.
