Magma Admiral

Description

Dropped by the Magma Admiral in Magma Village, the Magma Blaster is a rare gun that rewards players who are willing to grind one of the game's more visually intense zones. Because it scales with the Gun stat rather than Sword, it fits naturally into ranged builds that prioritize keeping enemies at distance while dealing consistent fire-themed damage. Mastery climbs with every hit you land, so sustained engagements in Magma Village itself are an efficient way to level it up. Its three moves — Lava Bolt, Scorching Burst, and Magmatic Pressure — follow a clear pattern of escalating area and impact, letting you poke from range with Lava Bolt before committing to the wider Scorching Burst or the heavier Magmatic Pressure when enemies close in. As a rare-tier weapon the Magma Blaster hits noticeably harder than common drops, making it a genuine upgrade for mid-game Gun builds looking for thematic and mechanical consistency.

Magma Blaster — In-Depth Analysis

What Is the Magma Blaster?

The Magma Blaster is a Rare-rarity gun added in Update 24, dropped by the Magma Admiral boss at Magma Village in the First Sea. As a Rare gun it's notably above the usual First Sea firearm curve, offering damage that stands out among all guns in the game. The boss drop acquisition route means you'll have to be adequately leveled for Magma Village before this becomes farmable.

Role and Who It's For

The Magma Blaster is defined by its proximity-based damage scaling — it deals peak damage at close range and drops off as distance increases. This makes it a surprisingly aggressive choice for a gun, rewarding players who push into melee range rather than sniping from safety. All attacks hit multiple targets simultaneously, which is unusual for gun-type M1s and makes it genuinely useful for AoE grinding. The weapon can lock and slightly stun its target, and can break Instinct.

High mastery requirements for a First Sea weapon are the main hurdle — you'll need consistent investment before accessing the full moveset. Long-range poke is weak, and skilled opponents can avoid moves relatively easily in the air. Rubber-fruit immunity remains the universal gun counter.

- Highest-tier damage output among First Sea guns - Multi-target M1 makes it stand out for grouped NPC farming - Excels at close range; less effective as a long-distance poke tool

Tip: Close the gap before firing the Magma Blaster's skills — use a mobility Blox Fruit or fighting-style dash to get inside optimal range, where the damage-per-shot is at its peak.
