Description

Rare and corrosive, the Acidum Rifle is one of the more distinctive guns you can find in the Kingdom of Rose. It drops from a Dropped Core enemy in that area, so expect to farm it rather than buy it off a vendor. Because it is a gun, every point you invest in the Gun stat pushes its damage higher, and its mastery climbs the more shots you land in real fights. What sets the Acidum Rifle apart from generic firearms is its move kit. Toxin Shot leans into the weapon's acidic theme, laying down damage over time pressure rather than pure burst. Spiky Bomb adds an explosive element that creates space in tight encounters, while Acidic Smoke rounds out the kit with area denial, letting you control choke points or cover a retreat. For players grinding through the Kingdom of Rose who want a gun with genuine utility beyond clicking heads, the Acidum Rifle is a solid rare-tier pickup worth the farm.

Trivia

10
  • 1It's famously featured in skilled builds, mostly with Lightning (formerly Rumble).
  • 2However, this is no longer the case, as almost all of the weapons used in said builds have been reworked, making them all quite up to date (with the exception being Superhuman).
  • 3The Acidum Rifle is powerful in PvP due to its ability to break Instinct, have large AoE stun moves, and extremely high damage.
  • 4There may be visual glitches when the Acidum Rifle appears in front of the player's character. This is due to the avatar's arms, and the player will need to change their avatar's arms to fix it.
  • 5Acidum Rifle is the only gun that goes around to a players back.
  • 6Many players in the community, especially "skilled" ones, complain about the rework making the Acidum Rifle's moves harder to hit. Although it was fixed, it is still arguably worse than pre-rework due to the moves animations seeming smaller and not as "destructive" as pre-rework.
  • 7The Acidum Rifle was revamped.
  • 8The Acidum Rifle M1 now has a shorter range.
  • 9M1 (Normal Attack) knockback was removed, allowing for better combo usage.
  • 10The Acidum Rifle was released.

Acidum Rifle — In-Depth Analysis

What Is the Acidum Rifle?

The Acidum Rifle is a Rare gun found in the Second Sea, obtained as a drop from the Dropped Core encounter in the Kingdom of Rose. As a gun, it scales with your gun stat rather than sword stat, so investing points into your gun build is a prerequisite before this weapon hits anywhere near its potential. Its acid-themed kit has a distinctive identity: a corrosive, poison-on-hit playstyle that punishes enemies over time.

Strengths, Weaknesses, and Who It's For

The Acidum Rifle's standout qualities are its high damage output and the fact that both moves break Instinct — a crucial trait in PvP where Instinct-dodging can nullify almost any attack. Its range is solid and all moves perform well in the air, a genuine edge in aerial combat. The poison damage-over-time adds pressure in prolonged fights.

On the downside, Rubber users are fully immune to its damage, and the slow projectile speed combined with a very small hitbox makes landing shots from range genuinely difficult. The high mastery requirements for a gun are also a notable hurdle.

Tip: Pair the Acidum Rifle with a melee fighting style like Death Step to cover its slow projectile gap — land an M1 combo to anchor the enemy, then fire for the poison proc.

Where it shines
  • Both moves break Instinct.
  • High damage.
  • All moves mostly work extremely well in the air.
  • High combo potential.
  • Both moves have low endlag.
What to watch out for

  • All moves have a slow speed.
  • High mastery requirements, especially for a Gun.
  • Requires good aim, as with most guns.
