Description

Spikey Trident is a sword sword in Blox Fruits and slots into the broader sword tier list around the sword-rank baseline. Whether it's worth chasing depends on your build: pure-fruit mains usually skip mid-rarity swords entirely, while sword-mains and combo PvPers chain weapons to alternate movesets without the cooldown overlap that comes from spamming a single fruit. Common swords are starter-tier weapons. Use them to grind early mastery levels and immediately upgrade once you can afford an Uncommon or higher. Pair Spikey Trident with a fighting style that complements its swing speed — Godhuman or Sanguine Art covers any sword's M1 gap with bursty kicks, while Death Step's range trade is the classic combo extender. As a sword, Spikey Trident draws from your sword stat pool, so respeccing into 2,500+ sword stat is a hard prerequisite to hit its full damage ceiling. Mastery scales with hits landed; M1 spam during low-level grinding is the fastest way to climb early, then transition to skill-spam against bosses for the multiplier. It costs free / quest reward from the relevant NPC vendor, premium shop, or quest reward — keep an eye out for the related sword dealer or boss drop chain when you reach the corresponding sea. If your loadout already has a higher-tier sword, Spikey Trident can still earn a slot as a swap option — Blox Fruits' "Z + sword swap" tech is one of the fastest ways to chain skills without giving the enemy a recovery window.

Moves & Abilities

3 moves
M1
Normal Attack

The player does 3 swipes, then performs a lunge on the fourth.

Z
Dough Hurricane
Mastery 150

The user dashes forward. If the user collides with an enemy during the dash, they will start burrowing/drilling dough into the enemy's back while continuing the dash, dealing damage and stunning the enemy. The enemy will receive a fair amount of knockback afterwards.

X
Flying Trident Pull
Mastery 300

Attaching a stream of liquid dough attached to the trident, the user expels it in the direction of their cursor. Upon connection between the dough and any surface, the user will "pull" themselves towards that specific surface. If the dough connects with another player/[[enemies

Pros

10
  • Good for combo extending and stunning enemies.
  • Great damage.
  • Amazing mobility.
  • Both moves stun the enemy in place.
  • Can still drill the enemy even if the enemy uses another skill, similar to the mechanics of Dough.
  • Long stun.
  • Great mobility.
  • Great range.
  • Great combo extender, as it can pull the enemy back into a combo.
  • Can pull the user to a certain location, making it relatively decent for mobility.

Cons

12
  • Can be hard to PvP with due to the moves needing perfect aim to land on the enemy. The player will usually need a stun move to start a combo with this sword.
  • Cannot hit Blade users.
  • Does not Instinct Break, making it really easy to dodge.
  • Both moves are single targets.
  • Small hitbox makes it hard to aim with.
  • Slow M1 speed.
  • Enemies can ken-trick and Flash Step instantly near the user after the knockback, leaving them vulnerable. (This can happen when PvP on ground with good instinct players)
  • Cannot be canceled upon hitting an enemy.
  • The user can drown while dragging an enemy into the water or lava.
  • High delay if missed.
  • Require good aim.
  • Missing can cause the user to rush close to the enemy if they are in the wall or on the ground, leaving them vulnerable to counterattacks because of the slight delay after getting pulled.

Trivia

5
  • 1As of Update 20, while using transformed Buddha, moves the user a very short distance. is harder to hit with transformed Buddha since it will aim parallel to the ground if aimed downward while standing on the ground.
  • 2The player can perform a glitch if they and another individual use and aim it downward, which results in both users being knocked back a great distance if done correctly.
  • 3Interestingly, there is one "Trident" sword in each sea, the Trident in the First Sea, the Dragon Trident for the Second Sea, and the Spikey Trident for the Third Sea.
  • 4The Spikey Trident's moves were revamped.
  • 5The Spikey Trident was released.
