Twisted Goob guide
Goob does not need to run you down, because he drags you to him. Any Toon in his line of sight can be pulled, and the pull has a cooldown of 12. The wiki notes you can stop it by staying out of his sight or by ducking behind an object while he tries to pull, so the answer is geometry, not speed. A pole, a wall corner or a Machine placed between you and him breaks the pull before it connects.
Once you are in reach, the chase is gentle. He walks at 8 and chases at 16, both tied for 30th of 37, and his attention span of 3 seconds is the only part that lingers. Vision is 26 in a circle and 60 direct, and hearing is 100, tied for 34th, so quiet movement behind cover works well. Goob's own Toon has 4 stars each of Movement Speed and Stamina and only 2 of Stealth, so it is built to move away from trouble and not to hide from it, and its Hug ability pulls teammates toward it.
Goob is a Rare Twisted. At 100% Research you receive the Friendship Bracelet trinket: 5 extra max Stamina for each living Toon in the round, up to 40.
