Electrical Room Key

The Electrical Room Key is the last key a player can meet in The Hotel, and it appears exactly once per run. It opens the high-voltage door in The Electrical Room at Door 100, behind which the Circuit Breaker puzzle waits. The door carries the warning HIGH VOLTAGE, ELECTRICAL ROOM.

What it looks like and where it spawns

It resembles the normal hotel key but has no label, is silver-blue and is slightly bent. Climb the stairs to the top floor of the room and the key spawns on a random shelf there. Before the Hotel+ update it only appeared in one place, inside the Mineshaft Elevator. The wiki's interactive map of the room marks every possible spot.

Alternatives

After Hotel+, a lockpick can open the same door, and so can the Skeleton Key. Both work before Figure's first appearance in the room, which the key cannot do. Because the Skeleton Key is harder to obtain, the wiki suggests saving it for the Green Herb, the Rift Room, The Rooms or The Outdoors.

Limits

The key cannot be kept in the Rift. To use it, hold the interact button for several seconds.
