Alien Buddy guide
The Alien Buddy has nothing to do with the ocean. It is tied to the Admin event - Aliens, tagged Limited and Admin Event, and it takes no bait (the data shows an alien emoji and "None"). Because it is limited to that event, do not count on seeing it outside of it.
It is tiny. An average weighs 0.25 kg, with a cap of 0.8 kg, which ranks 634th of 663 by max weight. The price is another story: C$350,000 per kg gives an average of C$87,500, which ranks 25th of 742 by average value. Base XP is 100,000, an extraordinary figure for a fish that fits in your palm.
The only other Special fish listed in the same zone is the Alien Hat, which is also an event item. So when the event is on, expect the pair together.
Verdict: if you ever land one, the 25th-place sale of C$87,500 is a lot more than anything its size would suggest. Whether to sell or keep it depends on whether you care about the Limited tag, but the money is real either way.
