Blisterback Blenny guide

The Blisterback Blenny in Mariana's Veil is a Mythical fish with a strong profile, and it is obtainable. You need Fish Head bait, Day, Clear weather and Summer. The wiki describes a colossal fish with jagged obsidian fins and an inner fire that lights up its body, said to be faster than a tsunami.

Its size is the first thing to notice: from 737 kg to 5,519.9 kg, with a 2,250 kg average. That makes its maximum 105th of 663 fish with a recorded maximum. The average sale of C$5,062.5 is 174th of 742 documented fish, solidly in the upper quarter, and base XP is 1,500.

No same-rarity fish or rods appear for its zone, so there is no direct neighbour to weigh it against. What the ranks do say is that both its size and its price are high, with a modest XP for a Mythical.

My read: if you are going to Mariana's Veil, plan for a Summer day with clear weather and bring Fish Head. A sale above C$5,000 is a strong result for one catch, and it makes this a good fish to cash in rather than keep. If experience is what you want, other Mythical fish pay more XP.
