Crowned Anglerfish guide

Crowned Anglerfish is an Exotic fish from Mariana's Veil, and it asks for a lot at once: Truffle Worm bait, Night, Foggy weather and the Autumn season. The in-game text describes a kraken-like anglerfish with a crown-shaped lure, said to be the ruler of the abyss.

Its numbers justify the effort. It weighs 8,000 to 134,190 kg and averages 13,000 kg. At C$1.22 per kg an average fish sells for about C$15,889, with 16,000 base XP. That average value ranks 99 of the 742 documented fish, so it is inside the top 100, and its max weight ranks 48 of 663.

Mariana's Veil also holds three other Exotic fish: Crystallized Seadragon, Frozen Leviathan and Magma Leviathan. If you are fishing the zone, any of them is a strong payday, but this is the one with the Foggy-Autumn-Night combination.

My recommendation is to treat it as a planned expedition. Check that the season is Autumn, wait for the fog and the night, and load Truffle Worm before the cast. A C$16,000-class sale from one catch is worth skipping a few ordinary sessions for.
