Bloop Fish
“A colossal, elusive deep-sea creature said to dwell in the lightless abyss of the ocean, surfacing only when the water is deathly still. Its presence heralded by a haunting, low-frequency sound that rattles sonar equipment and stirs ancient maritime fears.”— in-game Bestiary description

Bloop Fish guide
Bloop Fish is an Apex catch from The Ocean, and it only bites under a narrow set of conditions: Night, Autumn, and Luminous Larva on the hook. The wiki also tags it as a Hunt fish tied to an Admin Event, so plan around those triggers rather than expecting it on a routine cast.
The numbers are enormous. An average Bloop Fish weighs 160,000 kg, with a range from 48,000 kg up to 504,000 kg. That puts its maximum weight at 34th of the 663 fish with a documented weight. Its value per kg is a modest C$3.333, but the weight carries it to an average of C$533,333, the 4th highest of the 742 documented fish. The base XP is 2,200,000, which is the kind of figure that matters if you are chasing levels as well as cash.
In The Ocean, the other Apex fish are Beluga, Magician Narwhal, Mosslurker and Narwhal, so you are fishing in company with other heavyweights.
Verdict: do not sell it casually. A single catch is worth more than hundreds of ordinary fish, and the XP alone makes it a prize. Stock Luminous Larva, wait for an autumn night, and bring a rod that can handle a creature this heavy.
