Compact Disc guide
You will find Compact Disc in Hawaii, and it bites on Magnet bait. It is filed as Limited rarity, but the entry is flagged as obtainable right now, so you do not need to wait for an event. The in-game description reads "Looks very imbueable." It is tiny: 1.2 to 2.9 kg, averaging 1.3 kg.
Despite the weight, it sells for C$200 per kg, which gives an average catch of about C$260 and 160 base XP. Its average value ranks 462 of the 742 documented fish, so it sits a little below the middle, while its maximum weight ranks 579 of 663, near the bottom for size.
Hawaii also sells a rod, Lullaby, which is the one to carry if you want to fish this zone with a rod bought on the spot.
My advice is practical: since it lives on Magnet, switch to that bait only when you want this specific catch. As a sale it is modest, so treat Compact Disc as a quick extra pickup rather than a target worth a long session.
