Frightful Crate guide
Frightful Crate is the odd one in Frightful Village: a Limited "fish" that is really a spooky wooden crate with fabric over the top, made to preserve the bait inside. It was caught with Magnet, and it is Unobtainable today, so it is not something you can fish up now.
The record is thin. It has an average value of C$800 and gave 500 base XP, with no weight range or season attached. That value ranks 346 of the 742 documented fish, so it landed in the middle of the pack with a solid 500 base XP behind it.
Six other Limited fish are documented in the same zone: Candle Carp, Coffin Crab, Ectoplasm Eel, Frankenshrimp, Gravestone Stingray and Mourning Manta Ray. The crate differs from them because it is a container rather than an animal. If you are reading event history, treat it as a curiosity. If you are looking for something to do this week, there is nothing to hunt here, and the page only exists so the old catch is documented.
