Largemouth Bass guide

Largemouth Bass is the everyday Common freshwater fish of Moosewood, the one most players meet first. It bites on Worm in Rain, during Spring or Summer. The game describes it as a camouflaged, aggressive feeder that lives in warm, weedy lakes, ponds and rivers.

It is cheap and light. An average bass weighs 3.6 kg and sells for C$60, which ranks 641st of the 742 documented fish by average value. The biggest one recorded is 8 kg, 493rd of 663. It pays only 20 base XP, at C$20 per kg. Those are beginner numbers, and that is exactly what it is for.

Moosewood shares it with Anchovy, Red Snapper, Sockeye Salmon and Trout in the same rarity. The zone also sells the Flimsy Rod, Fast Rod, Crew Rod, Lucky Rod and Long Rod, so the starter route is complete in one place: buy a rod, bait a worm and fish. The advice is simple. If you are new, fish it for early XP and coins and then move on once better rods open other zones. If you are further along, sell it and do not spend a rod slot on it. It is a starter catch, nothing more.
