Piranha guide
Piranha is the bottom rung on the Ancient Isle's food chain. The game says these aggressive, sharp-toothed fish are still no match for the island's larger apex predators. In practice it is a Common catch that takes Squid bait in Spring and Winter.
An average Piranha weighs 7.35 kg (2.2 to 12.5 kg) and sells at C$17 per kg, about C$60. That is 641st of 742 documented fish by value, with max weight at 443rd of 663. It gives 95 base XP, which is not bad for the price.
Cladoselache is the other Common fish documented at the Ancient Isle, and the rods sold in the zone are Krampus's Rod, Phoenix Rod and Stone Rod. Neither of the two Common fish pays much, so do not expect the Piranha to be the reason to visit.
Verdict: treat it as a free catch you reel in while waiting for something better. Keep Squid on hand, sell the Piranha for C$60 and look past it. If you only target value, skip it entirely, since the same time on the Ancient Isle can earn far more elsewhere.
