Phantom Brine guide
Azure Lagoon holds a Legendary fish called Phantom Brine, a grey-green catch with translucent fins that haunts the briny depths. Mist Worms are the bait and that is the one thing to prepare.
An average Phantom Brine weighs 150 kg (84 to 454 kg) and sells at C$9 per kg for C$1,282 on average. That places it 300th of 742 documented fish by value and its max weight 193rd of 663, both comfortably in the top half, though far from the top. It also gives 995 base XP.
The price per kg is the weak point. Plenty of fish with a similar weight sell for much more, and here it is the sheer size that earns the C$1,282, not a premium rate. The XP is arguably the better reason to want one.
Verdict: a good mid-game catch. Bring Mist Worms to Azure Lagoon, expect a respectable payout and decent XP, and do not expect it to fund a big upgrade on its own.
