Algae Lurker guide
Azure Lagoon is where you look for the Algae Lurker, and it wants Squid on the hook during the Day, in Foggy weather, in Spring. It is a Rare fish, one step up from the Uncommon ones, and it carries a good-looking weight for that tier.
An average Lurker weighs 126 kg, with a range of 72 to 378 kg, ranking 209th of 663 by max weight, which is better than most. The money is more ordinary: C$2.833 per kg gives an average sale of C$357, 425th of 742 by average value, so it lands in the middle. Base XP is 245.
Because fog is part of the recipe, you will probably wait a bit longer for it than for fish that only care about the hour. No other fish of the same rarity or any rod is listed for the zone, so there is nothing to compare it with locally.
The wiki describes a long green-blue fish with light green fins that lurks among tangled algae.
Verdict: a reasonable Rare to chase if Azure Lagoon is already on your route. The weight is the most notable thing about it, so keep one for a collection and sell the rest.
