Coral Bastion

Coral Bastion is a diver's zone. Six Divers (Lenny, Benny, Bobby, Danny, Sonny and Ronnie) are the only inhabitants, and a crab cage is available, though there is no bait crate.

Eleven fish are documented: one Secret, one Exotic, two Mythical, one Legendary, one Unusual, three Uncommon and two Common. The top payer is Colossus Reef Titan, a Secret at C$322,000, followed by Reef Titan, an Exotic, at C$26,250. Both Mythical fish, Sand Tiger Shark at C$3,187.5 and Wobbegong Shark at C$3,162.5, are almost identical in value. Atlantic Goliath Grouper, the Legendary, averages C$1,336.

The shape of the zone is a steep pyramid: one enormous fish, one large one, then a plateau around C$3,000 and a quick slide to cheap Uncommon and Common catches such as Batfish and Lizardfish. That means a session here is either a jackpot or a modest sale.

The only rod sold is the Coral Rod at C$30,000, a low price compared with what the fish can pay.

Verdict: a good fit for players who want a cheap rod and the possibility of a Secret. Go with a plan to hunt the Titans, and treat the sharks as a fallback.
