Ancient Idol Rod review
Control is where the Ancient Idol Rod stands out: its 0.3 ranks 12 of 202 documented rods, well above its middle-of-the-table numbers elsewhere. The wiki places it in Skycrest and lists it as obtainable, but no purchase price is given, so this page cannot say how it is acquired.
The rest of the profile is more modest. Luck is 165, ranking 81 of 201, and Lure is 80, which lands on exactly the same rank, 81 of 201. Resilience is 60, good for 21 of 201, so that is the second stat that sits in the upper tier. No maximum weight, disturbance or progress value is listed.
It carries a passive ability, tagged under Fishing Rods with passives, but its effect is not detailed here. The wiki description reads "Carved from a toppled idol. The stone still judges what you hook, and gilds or curses it accordingly."
Verdict: the numbers favor a player who values control and resilience over raw luck.
