Scarlet Spincaster Rod

Scarlet Spincaster Rod is sold in Crimson Cavern for C$180,000 and is built around one idea: a 30% chance for the Crimson mutation on your catches. It has no passive listed beyond that description.

The strengths are in the heavy end. Resilience of 150 ranks 4th of 184 obtainable rods, and its 250,000 kg weight limit is 16th of 117. If you are hauling huge fish, few rods hold up better. Luck of 170 is 64th of 184, which is fine, but Lure Speed of 50 (127th of 184) is slow and Control of -0.2 is 182nd of 185, nearly the loosest handling on the list.

Price against Luck is the weak point. Cinder Block Rod (luck 300, C$50,000), Cupid's Embrace (luck 214, C$15,000) and Lucky Rod (luck 177, C$4,500) all give equal or more Luck for less money.

Buy it for the Crimson mutation and the sturdy build, not for Luck. It suits patient anglers going after big fish in Crimson Cavern, where Evil Pitchfork, Ruinous Oath and Wicked Fang Rod are also sold. Fast, precise fishing is not what it does well.
