From the fifth quest of the Headless Horseman during FischFright 2025, you can earn the Jack-o-Blazer. It is a quest reward rather than a purchase, and its description says it launches blazing Jack-o-Lanterns that explode on impact, incinerating the water around them. It carries a passive.

The stats are strong across the board. 96 Lure Speed ranks 36th of 184 obtainable rods, 166 Luck ranks 66th, and 66 Resilience ranks 12th, close to the top of the list. Control of 0.16 is 53rd of 185. No weight cap is listed.

That Resilience is the headline: only eleven rods beat it, which means you can hold heavy fish with less trouble. Combined with fast bites, it works well for grinding.

Because it is tied to the event, the real challenge is finishing the Headless Horseman questline. If the event is active and you can reach the fifth quest, this is a rod worth the effort, with no coin cost at all.
