Quick Summary

The three new Fairy Event 2026 pets, Wolpertinger, Redcap and Manticore: passive abilities, hunger, Fairy Chest odds, plus the Enchanted Egg pets, summarized from the wiki.

Three new pets arrived with the Fairy Event 2026 in Grow a Garden: the Wolpertinger, the Redcap and the Manticore. They are an uncommon, a legendary and a divine pet, and all three come out of the same place, the Fairy Chest. The Enchanted Egg is also back in the event as a tier 5 reward and holds a different set of fairy-themed pets. This guide explains what each new pet does according to the community wiki, how likely you are to get it, and how the new pets fit together with the new plants. It is based only on the wiki pages for the pets, the Fairy Chest and the Enchanted Egg. The pages are marked as stubs and every appearance section still says "to be added", so none of this comes from our own in-game testing.

The Fairy Chest holds six results in total, adding up to 100 percent: three seeds and these three pets. Half of all results are pets. If you want the plant side, read our guide to the new fairy seeds, and for how to earn chests, see the Fairy Favors guide.

Wolpertinger

The Wolpertinger
The Wolpertinger

The Wolpertinger is the easy pet of the event. The wiki lists it as uncommon, with a hunger of 12,000 and a 35 percent chance in the Fairy Chest, tied with the Jellycap seed as the most likely result.

Its passive is called Forest Friend. The wiki text says it occasionally advances the growth of a random plant, and that it does more for every Magical plant in your garden. That second part is a nice fit with the new seeds, because the wiki tags all five new plants (Jellycap, Glimmervine, Prism Plume, Flutter Freesia and Royal Jelly Cup) as Magical type crops. We cannot say how much stronger the passive gets per Magical plant, because the wiki does not give a number, but the design clearly points at growing the event plants in the same garden as the pet.

Redcap

The Redcap
The Redcap

The Redcap is the legendary pet, with a hunger of 40,000 and a 14.5 percent chance in the Fairy Chest, the same as the Glimmervine seed.

Its passive is Redcap's Curse. According to the wiki, the Redcap occasionally trades a pet's level for faster egg hatching, or slower egg hatching for a pet level, and it gains XP each time. In plain words, it is a trade ability: it can speed up your eggs at the cost of a pet level, or give a pet a level at the cost of slower eggs. The wiki does not say how big the trade is, how often it triggers, or whether you can choose the direction, so we would be careful about building a plan around it before more details appear.

Manticore

The Manticore
The Manticore

The Manticore is the divine pet and the rarest prize in the chest at 0.5 percent. Its hunger is 285,000, by far the highest of the three.

Its passive is Beast of Omen. The wiki says it occasionally consumes a heavily mutated fruit to start a chain of omens, and that the chain can mutate fruit, boost pets, grant XP and refresh abilities. That is a strong description, but the page gives no numbers for the chain, so we cannot tell you how often it fires or what it is worth. The takeaway is that the Manticore rewards a garden that already has fruit with many mutations on it, since it eats one to start its effect.

What are your chances

Assuming each opening of a Fairy Chest gives one result from the list, the odds of landing each pet at least once are below. These are our calculations from the wiki percentages, not figures from the wiki.

PetIn 3 chestsIn 5 chestsIn 10 chestsIn 50 chestsIn 100 chests
Wolpertinger (35%)72.5%88.4%98.7%nearly 100%nearly 100%
Redcap (14.5%)37.5%54.3%79.1%99.96%nearly 100%
Manticore (0.5%)1.5%2.5%4.9%22.2%39.4%

For the Manticore you would expect to need about 200 chests on average, and even then there is a roughly one in three chance of still not having it. Treat it as a bonus if it drops, not a goal you can plan for.

The Enchanted Egg

The Enchanted Egg
The Enchanted Egg

The Enchanted Egg is the other pet source in the event. The wiki lists its price as 7,500 Fairy Points or 149 Robux, and its hatch time as 4 hours and 10 minutes. Its listing for the 2026 event says it comes from tier 5 of the Fountain (the Wishing Well), where our Fairy Favors guide puts it at 8.11 percent.

Most of the egg's wiki page is written from the original 2025 fairy event, so the pet list below could differ in 2026. It is the list the wiki shows today:

PetChanceWhat the wiki says it does
Ladybug50%All flower type plants grow about 1.6x faster
Pixie29%Spreads pixie dust that speeds up nearby plants and makes nearby players levitate
Imp15%Invites you to chase it, and catching it gives a random reward
Glimmering Sprite5%Flies to a nearby fruit and applies the Glimmering mutation
Cockatrice1%Silver Screech and Venom Spit abilities that mutate fruit and help eggs and pets
Pixie, one of the Enchanted Egg pets
Pixie, one of the Enchanted Egg pets
Glimmering Sprite
Glimmering Sprite

The Glimmering Sprite is the one that fits the 2026 theme best, since the event revolves around the Glimmering mutation. Its chance is only 5 percent, though, and the egg takes more than four hours to hatch, so the Wolpertinger from a chest is a much faster way to get a fairy pet.

Glimmering on pets

If you land a Pet Shard Glimmering from the Wishing Well (1.72% in tier 3, 3.03% in tier 4, 5.41% in tier 5), you can apply the Glimmering mutation to a pet. The wiki says a glimmering pet sparks a nearby fruit about every 25 minutes. Applying it over another mutation asks you to confirm the replacement.

A simple plan

This is our own advice, built from the wiki's numbers.

  1. 1Open Fairy Chests as they come. The odds are the same every time, and half the results are pets.
  2. 2Put a Wolpertinger in your garden next to your Magical plants, since the wiki ties its passive to them.
  3. 3Wait on the Redcap's trade until the wiki lists numbers, then decide if it fits your eggs.
  4. 4If a Manticore drops, keep fruit with many mutations ready, because its passive eats a heavily mutated fruit.
  5. 5If you want the Enchanted Egg, remember it is a tier 5 reward at 8.11 percent, so it takes a full Fairy Favors run.

What the wiki does not tell us yet

The wiki gives each new pet a rarity, a hunger number, an odds line and a one-sentence passive, and that is all. There are no cooldowns, no strength numbers and no appearance descriptions, because every appearance section still says "to be added". The hunger figure is listed without further explanation, so we only use it to compare the three pets with each other: the Manticore's 285,000 is more than seven times the Redcap's 40,000, which is itself more than three times the Wolpertinger's 12,000. We left out anything that would need a guess, such as how often a passive fires. Check the pet's in-game description, and look at the wiki again after the event, because editors usually fill these pages in over the following days.

Frequently asked questions

What are the new pets? Wolpertinger, Redcap and Manticore, all from the Fairy Chest.

Which is the rarest? The Manticore, a divine pet with a 0.5 percent chance.

Which pet is the easiest to get? The Wolpertinger at 35 percent.

Does the Wolpertinger work with the new plants? The wiki says its passive does more for every Magical plant, and it tags all five new plants as Magical.

Is this guide based on in-game testing? No. It is a summary of the community wiki, which still marks these pages as incomplete.

Key Takeaways

  • Plant seeds, harvest crops, and sell them for Sheckles to grow your garden.
  • Multi-harvest crops and higher rarities earn far more over time.
  • Gold and Rainbow mutations multiply a crop's sell value โ€” chase them for big profit.
  • Redeem the latest codes for free seeds and rewards.
