Beast Buttercup

The Beast Buttercup is a limited transcendent crop earned during the Buttercup Quest Event, and transcendent is one of the very highest rarity tiers in the game. That places its economics firmly in the prestige bracket: it was never sold for Sheckles, so its real cost was the quest grind, and its real value is locked in by scarcity once the event ended.

Because the base value of a transcendent crop is so high, mutations matter more here than on almost any common shop crop — a weight or weather multiplier applied to a transcendent base produces enormous Sheckle swings. The economically rational play is never to dump raw Beast Buttercup fruit; instead hold it, let weather mutations land, and sell only at a peak multiplier. Selling an unmutated transcendent is leaving most of its potential value on the table.

In progression terms this is an endgame trophy crop, not a cash starter. Its worth comes from rarity, completion prestige, and mutation ceiling rather than from a fast seed-to-sale loop. If you earned one, treat it as a long-term mutation target, not quick income.
