Candy crops tend to surface around limited shops and seasonal rotations, so their real worth lies less in raw coins per harvest and more in availability windows: if it is hard to get right now, holding it carries trading value that a common Seed Shop staple simply never accumulates.

On the economics, the rule of thumb still applies. Whatever its base sell price, the multiplier that decides your profit is mutation, not the seed itself. Pushing a Gold or Rainbow roll onto it dwarfs any small difference in base value, so if you only have a handful of these, concentrate your fertilizer and weather windows on the ones you intend to keep.
