Luna Stem

Luna Stem is a limited Legendary crop added during the Smithing Event, which immediately frames its value as scarcity-driven rather than shop-driven. There is no standing seed cost to weigh against a sell price here, because the seed was only obtainable through that event's mechanics. Once the Smithing Event closed, the supply effectively froze, and that scarcity is the real economic story.

For a limited Legendary, the profitability question shifts away from "is the seed worth the Sheckles" and toward "is this worth a slot in my garden versus a renewable crop." A Legendary base value is high enough that even an unmutated Luna Stem sells respectably, but the upside lives in mutations. Layering Rainbow or Gold on top of an environmental mutation can multiply a single harvest dramatically, and on a limited crop you genuinely cannot replace, that protected high-roll specimen is the one to hold.

If you obtained Luna Stem during the event, grow it deliberately and aim for a strong mutation roll rather than dumping it for quick cash. For collectors and mid-to-late players, its event-locked origin gives it lasting prestige beyond pure per-harvest income.
